#11 – Union Cemetery

Where else in Redwood City can you come as close as you’ll ever get to a veteran of the Civil War?

Just down the road from yesterday’s entry, is Redwood City’s own Union Cemetery.

Established in 1859, it consists of a six-plus acre burial site, containing an estimated 2,400 burials, including approximately 40 Civil War veterans in the Grand Army of the Republic plot.
